Are you a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher with a flair for inspiring young people through sport and physical activity?
GSL Education are looking to appoint a PE Teacher to work within a specialist school in Scunthorpe that supports students with challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone who can engage students through creative, inclusive, and structured PE lessons while promoting teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to a range of abilities and behavioural needs.
* Create a safe and motivating learning environment where students can thrive.
* Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and physical wellbeing through sport.
* Work collaboratively with support staff and pastoral teams to promote students’ social and emotional development.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Previous experience working in an SEMH or alternative provision environment is highly desirable.
* Strong classroom management and behaviour de-escalation skills.
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, term time only.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
