Day Shift Engineer! Work 26 weeks and get paid for 52!!

Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for maintenance and problem-solving? We're looking for a dedicated Day Shift Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Manchester-based dairy manufacturing plant. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Preventative Maintenance:
* Implement and manage maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns.
* Identify and highlight potential equipment failures.
* Perform maintenance activities safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
* Manage site services, including steam systems.
* Breakdown Repairs:
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
* Perform fault finding on pneumatic systems, metal fabrication, and TIG welding.
* Use problem-solving techniques to effect repairs and resume production quickly.
* Commissioning/Installation:
* Identify and implement improvements in plant and equipment.
* Install and commission new equipment, liaising with suppliers and other departments as needed.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
* ONC/HNC engineering qualifications with strong mechanical skills.
* HNC Electrical preferred; mechanical engineers with additional electrical qualifications or competence are welcome.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, electrical equipment regulations, welding regulations, and abrasive wheel regulations.
* Proficient in mechanical systems, PLC, variable speed drives, and control circuit fault finding.
* Experience in maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
