Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a passionate and creative Art Teacher for a welcoming Middle School based in the Ferndown area of Dorset.
Our client is a friendly and inclusive school, committed to inspiring creativity and fostering a love of learning through engaging, hands-on lessons. They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Art Teacher to join them from September 2025 on a part-time basis (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) for a 1-year contract.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Art lessons to KS2 and KS3 pupils, encouraging self-expression, developing technical skills, and inspiring confidence in every learner.
We are looking for a teacher who can bring fresh ideas to the curriculum, create a stimulating classroom environment, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all students.
* Location: Ferndown, Dorset
* Position: Art Teacher Middle School
* Contract: 1-year fixed term
* Start Date: September 2025
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and experience teaching Art
* A genuine passion for inspiring creativity in young people
* Experience delivering Art to KS2 and/or KS3 pupils
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop skills and confidence
* Strong classroom management skills with a positive, inclusive approach
* Willingness to contribute to wider school activities and the creative life of the school

* Able to encourage and support students of all abilities
* Hold high expectations for both learning and behaviour
* Confident in using a range of teaching methods to engage learners
* Collaborative and able to work well with colleagues to enrich the curriculum
To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
