Attribution Search is partnered with a leading global hedge fund to hire a Business Management Associate into its London-based equities business.
The firm operates a highly sophisticated, multi-strategy platform with a strong reputation across global markets. This role sits close to the front office and plays a key part in supporting the growth, optimisation, and strategic development of the equity trading business.
This role will work alongside Portfolio Managers, Traders, senior management, and external counterparties to support commercial, strategic, and operational initiatives across the global equity platform. This is a broad, front-office–adjacent role offering exposure to trading strategy, financing, execution, and business management within a fast-paced hedge fund environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the strategic development of the equity trading business across multiple strategies
* Work closely with Portfolio Managers on new strategies, products, counterparties, and trading initiatives
* Liaise with Prime Brokers and execution counterparties, covering onboarding, commercial terms, and ongoing optimisation
* Analyse financing, margin, execution costs, and Prime Broker competitiveness
* Track and report on key business performance metrics including P&L, risk, and costs
* Coordinate the onboarding of new Portfolio Managers, acting as a central point across internal teams
* Lead and support cross-functional projects spanning trading, technology, legal, compliance, and operations
* Act as a key liaison between the front office and internal support functions
* Assist with regulatory-driven change impacting equity trading activities
Experience Required
* 1–3 years’ experience in a business management, front-office support, sales, or related role within a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank
* Strong understanding of equity markets, products, financing, and trading strategies
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proven ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional initiatives
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced Excel, Python, SQL, or VBA is advantageous
* Familiarity with PMS/OMS/EMS platforms and multi-strategy environments is a plus
