Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills. * **HR Director / Head of HR **# HR Director / Head of HRhaysFareham, England£65000.0 - £70000.0 per annum + £65000 - £70000 - 6 months FTCFull TimeCIPD Member9 July 2026View more categories * Job DetailsA leading organisation in the South Coast region is seeking an experienced Interim HR Director / Head of HR to lead its People function on a 6-month fixed-term basis.This is a critical leadership role with responsibility for delivering both strategic direction and operational excellence across HR, Payroll & Pensions, and Recruitment.Key Responsibilities * Provide strategic leadership across HR Business Partnering, Recruitment, Payroll & Pensions * Partner with senior leadership to drive key People & Culture initiatives * Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery * Oversee complex employee relations and case management activity * Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice * Drive improvements in recruitment outcomes, including time-to-hire, candidate quality, and retention * Lead workforce planning, HR reporting, and data-driven decision-making * Strengthen employer brand and enhance attraction strategies * Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiativesAbout You * Proven experience operating at HR Director / Head of HR level * Strong expertise in HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, and Industrial Relations, including unions. * Experience leading multidisciplinary HR functions * Ability to influence and challenge at Executive / Senior Leadership level * Strong track record of delivering transformation and service improvement * Data-driven with experience of HR systems and analytics * Resilient, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.Desirable: * CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) * Experience within large or complex organisations, ideally with unions * Experience of leading HR teams across disciplines of HR, ER, Recruitment, PayrollThe initial contract is a 6-month fixed term.
