Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in Partington to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience as a sports coach or a strong sporting background. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for sport with supporting pupils’ learning and development in the classroom.
The Role
* Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 in both classroom and physical education settings.
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Lead or support small group interventions, including activities that promote teamwork and physical well-being.
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement through sport-based strategies.
* Help organise and run PE lessons, sports activities, and extra-curricular clubs.
Requirements
* Experience working as a sports coach or in a sporting role (school or community setting).
* Ability to motivate and inspire pupils through physical activity and teamwork.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive approach to supporting learning and pupil well-being.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
