Main duties of the job
Working primarily in our Ambulatory Care Unit, you will join an agile and highly energised multidisciplinary team. You'll have a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills across various specialties and levels of complexity. Supported by our Clinical Head of Department, you'll have autonomy to utilise your expertise to ensure excellent patient care. Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital, rated 'Good' in the last CQC inspection, is purpose-built and well-equipped with 24 en-suite bedrooms, 3 operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, an Ambulatory Care ward/Unit, and a busy outpatient department including physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic facilities include X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, and CT. We offer the latest surgical treatments with a warm welcome and professional, caring service from our matron-led nursing team. Our specialties include orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cosmetic surgery, women's health, general surgery, urology, and chronic pain interventions.
Job responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse with an appropriate professional body registration, such as NMC. You should have skills supporting various specialties and an interest in ophthalmology. A passion for delivering excellent, tailored patient care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and flexibly are essential.
In this role, you'll primarily work in our Ambulatory Care Unit, joining a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Supported by our Clinical Head of Department, you'll use your expertise to make decisions that ensure high-quality patient care. The role offers exciting and varied work across multiple specialties, with opportunities to develop new skills and advance your career.
