As one of the UK's key suppliers in the chemical marketplace, we provide an array of delivery solutions from 25kg drums, 1000 litre IBC's to bulk road tankers.
Summary of Duties:
* You will work across two shifts on a rolling weekly basis – 5am till 1pm or 12 noon till 8pm – Monday to Friday
* To ensure there is stock availability for all orders to be dispatched on time in full
* Loading of chemical tankers and trailers
* To record all processes accurately using the Company systems
* To ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate machinery and equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and established procedures – full training will be given where necessary
* Handle materials, components, and finished products using appropriate tools and equipment, following COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and Health & Safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced, alerting supervisors when materials need to be reordered.
* Carry out scheduled mixing of chemical products as per instructions from the Shift Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong people skills; be able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally
* Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
* Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
* Previous experience within a warehouse environment
* A proactive approach to work
* Good organisational skills
* Numerically confident with basic IT skills
* FLT Counterbalance experience is essential
Working Conditions:
* This role requires manual handling, lifting, standing for long periods, and working with warehouse equipment and chemicals.
* The work environment is primarily based in a warehouse setting, with exposure to various chemicals and manufacturing machinery.
* Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when handling chemicals or operating machinery.
