What You’ll Be Doing
In this wide‑ranging role, flexibility is key. You’ll work across the full spectrum of Democratic Services, including:
1. Managing email inboxes, processing expenses, and arranging travel and tickets
2. Providing administrative support to committees, meetings, and Scrutiny Reviews
3. Playing a vital role in maintaining the Electoral Register for Cheshire West and Chester
4. Processing election-related applications, responding to elector queries, and helping deliver the election process itself

You’ll also get the chance to work closely with the Civic Heads of Cheshire West and Chester, including the Lord Mayor of Chester. Your work will help bring civic events and traditions to life through:

Additional Information
The role occasionally involves attending evening meetings and events across Cheshire West and Chester. During busy periods—such as Local or General Elections—you’ll play an essential part in ensuring everything runs smoothly, which may require flexibility outside normal working hours.
