Nursery Deputy Manager Location: Gloucester
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 per annum (DOE)

We are a warm, welcoming and forward‑thinking Children’s Day Nursery in Gloucester, providing outstanding childcare for children aged 0–5 years.

The Role

We are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Deputy Manager who is passionate about early years education and wants to feel valued, supported and excited about coming to work.

You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced team in a well‑resourced nursery with strong staffing levels and excellent support.


Key Responsibilities

* Ensure all children under our care feel engaged and supported
* Support the team within the setting
* Maintain the highest standards when implementing safeguarding
* Ensure the EYFS is implemented and applied to all learning
* Ensure our children have fun and a stimulating environment
* Promote and uphold Health & Safety for children, staff and visitors
* Ensure SEND is implemented, promoted and applied
* Make sure company policies and procedures are consistently applied and adhered to
* Work alongside the Nursery Manager and undertake any managerial duties needed such as opening and closing, show‑arounds, employee interviews and more


Working Hours

40 hours per week; 4 or 5 days per week. Shifts between 7:30am – 6:30pm. No weekends.


Requirements

* Full & relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
* Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
* A genuine passion for childcare and child development
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Right to work in the UK
