Day Shift
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our well-established client in Burton-On-Trent. In this key role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of production tooling.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce, repair, and refurbish tools and fixtures in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.
* Run diagnostics and fault find issues.
* Modify existing tooling to improve performance.
* Operate a range of machinery, including mills, lathes and grinders.
* Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, CMM tools) to verify dimensional accuracy.
* Work to tight tolerances.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Toolmaker or similar within the manufacturing industry.
* Strong understanding of machining principles and toolroom practices.
* Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
