An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a newly established 4-bedded children’s residential home in Chester, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in managing children’s homes, who is passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care and achieving exceptional outcomes.
As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and ongoing operation of the home, ensuring full regulatory compliance and creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for the young people in our care.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Lead the successful registration and operational setup of the new EBD home
* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, legislation, and safeguarding standards
* Recruit, build, and develop a high-performing staff team dedicated to delivering outstanding care
* Oversee all day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and quality assurance
* Drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of practice and outcomes
* Promote a therapeutic, child-focused approach tailored to each young person’s needs and care plan
*Requirements*
* Demonstrable experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting
* Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
* Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted frameworks
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Excellent leadership and operational management skills
* A commitment to delivering excellence in care and compliance
