Your Role as a Mechanical Engineer in ADS&T
In our 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T) business, you will:
* Support the creation of optimal design solutions to meet client requirements.
* Produce calculations to demonstrate design performance.
* Author and update technical documents.
* Manage project delivery against Time, Cost, and Quality targets.
* Support QA processes through reviews and checks.
* Present work at formal client reviews.
* Work within project teams, potentially including placements at client sites.
What You Bring
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Chartership or progress towards it with a relevant engineering institution.
* Understanding of mechanical engineering principles across various projects.
* Experience in design lifecycle, including requirements capture, concept development, and down-selection.
* Familiarity with design codes and industry standards for safety-critical industries.
* Experience in producing design documentation, calculations, reports, and specifications. CAD experience is a plus.
* Experience in participating and presenting at formal design reviews.
* Teamwork experience in delivering mechanical engineering projects, preferably in nuclear or safety-critical industries.
