My client is an award-winning, privately owned company, with a growing customer base of blue-chip clients across the UK.
Their Technology Team is a growing and maturing team within the Group. Despite the team being relatively new, they have made great strides in automating previously manual business processes, using data to provide critical business insights, and using Technology to empower their colleagues to do better work.
They are looking for a Data Engineer to build upon the great work of the last year, and help consolidate a cohesive strategy for Data Warehousing and Systems Integration for their core platforms. This role will be instrumental in helping them build a professional, resilient, and valuable data estate, and driving better business decisions.
The immediate work will be focused around three main projects:
1. Warehousing all data from Ops and Finance systems into Azure, to assist them in more automated and trustable reporting.
2. Integrating core business systems, saving days of manual effort and process inconsistency, and improving the customer experience.
3. Developing the groundwork for a Unified Data Platform, bringing all key business data into one place and leveraging it for critical insights.
As a Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of this work. With a solid understanding of the Azure platform, experience in working with APIs and creating Data Pipelines, and an ability to build technical solutions from nothing - you'll be the one to drive the transformation of their data infrastructure.

Experience in a Data Engineer or similar role is required:
* Strong experience in SQL and knowledge of database tech such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle or MySQL.
* Experience with any Cloud Infrastructure (ideally Azure).
* Proficiency in Web APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP).
* ETL tools and frameworks such as Data Factory, Fivetran etc.
