Role and Responsibilities
* As a Senior Engineering Team Lead, you’ll be hands-on with code, lead architectural decisions, and drive innovation from within the team. You’ll shape the future of campus tech and make a real impact with smart solutions.
* Scaled Agile Planning: Facilitate team planning in line with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles, managing project increments and iterations to meet business goals.
* Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and support team members in both personal and technical growth. Provide feedback and development opportunities to enhance team performance and career progression.
* Code & Architecture Oversight: Lead code and architecture reviews to maintain high standards and ensure consistency across projects.
* Quality Assurance: Own the team’s quality output, embedding robust practices for testing, code quality, and system reliability.
* Architectural Expertise: Design and implement solutions based on CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) and Event Bus architecture, with a strong focus on AWS environments (publish/subscribe models). Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure software quality from the initial stages of development.
Required Skills and Experience
* Essential Skills – Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to drive project deliverables from inception to completion, with a focus on continuous improvement and technical excellence.
* Adaptable to new tools, technologies, and methodologies to meet evolving project requirements and industry standards.
* Technical Skills – .NET Development (C#); Unit Testing & Integration Testing; CI/CD Pipeline Development; AWS Services (IAM, Lambda, API Gateway); Angular, REST APIs, and Web API development; SpecFlow for Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD); Postman for API testing and development; OpenAPI understanding and implementation experience.
* Database Experience – MS SQL Server (SQL); MongoDB (NoSQL); Docker.
Compensation and Benefits
* £65,000 - £75,000 / year
