An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and commercially minded Senior Finance Manager to join Practice Plus Group at our Shepton Mallet Hospital.
This is a pivotal role where you will lead the finance function locally, partnering closely with our Hospital Director and operational teams to drive business performance, influence strategic decision-making, and deliver outstanding results.
Youll play a key role as part of the Senior Management Team, providing not just financial insight but also leadership and support that directly impacts patient care and operational success.
Main duties of the job
As our Senior Finance Manager, youll:
* Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting with insightful analysis and commentary.
* Partner with operational teams to identify risks, opportunities, and innovative solutions that enhance business performance.
* Take ownership of management information and ensure robust financial control policies are in place.
* Provide financial expertise in contract management, billing, and external stakeholder meetings.
* Support growth by appraising new business opportunities and preparing board-level submissions.
* Line manage, coach, and develop a small finance team, building capability and supporting their progression.
* Be a visible leader and trusted adviser, working collaboratively across functions to deliver results.
