Overview
The role of an Examiner is crucial in assessing and evaluating student performance in various educational settings. As an Examiner, you will be responsible for ensuring that examinations are conducted fairly and efficiently, adhering to established guidelines and standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
Duties
* Prepare and organise examination materials prior to assessment days.
* Administer examinations in accordance with regulatory requirements, ensuring a fair environment for all candidates.
* Monitor candidates during examinations to prevent any form of malpractice or disruption.
* Mark and assess examination scripts accurately, providing constructive feedback where necessary.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure alignment between curriculum objectives and examination content.
* Maintain confidentiality of examination materials and results at all times.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes within the examination process.
Skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in marking and assessment.
* Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with candidates and staff professionally.
* A background in teaching is highly desirable, as it enhances understanding of educational standards and student needs.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, fostering a collaborative environment among colleagues.
