Job Title: Night Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £26227.50 per annum plus 10% Night Allowance
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full time
Working Pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off
Location: Powerhouse, Liverpool
Responsibilities
* Operate and implement night security systems, fire alarm system, and telephone system, ensuring overall safety and security of the service.
* Monitor visitors' access to the building(s) and ensure the safety and security of customers and premises.
* Respond to any issues, alerts, faults of the night security system or other systems and report as appropriate to the relevant manager according to procedure.
* Maintain an inviting reception area as per the Psychologically Informed Environment standards.
* Monitor all activity within the premises/service at night; respond and report appropriately and effectively to any incidents, including anti-social behaviour.
* Advising customers who may have issues relating to their safety during the night.
* Perform regular checks of the property, reporting repairs or maintenance issues, and maintain logs/reports/records accurately.
* Clean rooms and communal areas as required.
* Provide effective customer service, including handling tenancy enquiries such as distribution of post and rent payments.
* Support Housing Team and Service Managers with administrative support to provide high-quality service.
Additional Information
* Work to a rota on a night shift basis.
* Travel to different properties within a defined area as required.
* Use the Lone Worker system as required by policy or risk assessment to maintain safe working requirements.
* Act and respond to any concerns regarding the health, wellbeing, safety or safeguarding of customers in accordance with policies and procedure, regulatory guidance and best practice.

* Participate in team meetings, attend regular supervisions and reflective practice sessions.

* From time to time, may be required to undertake additional duties and responsibilities in consultation with your line manager.
Person Specification
Essential Knowledge & Experience
* Understand barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs.
* Experience of, and ability to lone work at night.
* Experience of working in a team.
* Ability to clean rooms and communal areas.
* Communication skills: positive, empathetic, calm, flexible, resilient, can-do attitude.
* Organise tasks and plan time while dealing with people and tense situations.
* Ability to undertake required training.
* Use initiative and confidence to make decisions and follow through on actions.
* Basic administrative and IT skills with attention to detail.
Desirable
* Experience of working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups or individuals with complex needs.
* Personal lived experience of homelessness, mental health issues or substance misuse.
* Previous experience of using CCTV equipment and ensuring safety of a building.
