Overview
Richard Huish College has a strong regional reputation for offering a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset. We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Estates Team member to join our Estates Team to assist with day-to-day maintenance at the college. The successful candidate should be organized, enthusiastic and flexible to meet the needs of a busy college.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general day-to-day maintenance tasks.
* Be part of the college's nominated first aid team.
* Unlock buildings and grounds on the early shift and lock/secure buildings and grounds on the late shift.
* Receive additional payments for on-call duties and for being a nominated first aider.
* Work in a rotating shift pattern (earlies, days & lates) on a 5-day week basis Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday every five weeks approximately.
What we offer
* Salary: SP6 - SP7 £24,575-£24,953 plus allowances
* Hours: 37 hours a week, all year round, shift pattern between 7am and 9.30pm
* Contract: Full time, permanent
* Start Date: ASAP
* Closing date: 9.00am 26th September 2025
