Being skilled in working with families experiencing domestic violence with the willingness to work with people who have experienced and those who use violence as this is a high percentage of our core business About the Team: Our team work together to create trusted places where people gather, community is strong and lives are transformed. About You: Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) or equivalent demonstrated experience Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA - Psychotherapy and Counsellors Association of Australia) Demonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work including child focused counselling/play therapy Demonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work Experience in providing counselling in an agency setting Demonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with people experiencing and/or using Domestic Family Violence (leading DV programs/groups) Experience in trauma informed practice Demonstrated experience relating to diverse groups, e.g. Government departments & other agencies Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work Demonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA and people with disabilities Demonstrated commitment to social justice outcomes in counselling & group work Excellent written & oral communication skills Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Willing to undergo a Police Check Current Drivers’ License Bring your compassion and expertise to a role where every day offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of others.
