Reed are working with a client who is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the college adheres to the highest standards of compliance, including health and safety, UK GDPR, sustainability, and policy oversight.
Day-to-day of the role
* Oversee and implement policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
* Safeguard data privacy and ensure adherence to data protection regulations.
* Drive initiatives towards achieving the college's goal of moving towards net zero.
* Manage and ensure compliance with college policies.
* Collaborate with various departments to uphold compliance standards across the college.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Qualifications/Experience: Relevant qualifications or experience in compliance with best practices, guidelines, and legislation.
* Customer Service: Excellent skills in handling interactions with tact and professionalism.
* Organisational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Confidentiality: Skilled in managing sensitive information securely.
* Teamwork and Professionalism: Effective team collaboration while maintaining professional service.
* Independence and Initiative: Ability to work independently with initiative and as part of a team.
* Communication: Proficient in communicating with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Numeracy and IT Skills: Good numeracy and IT proficiency, including Excel and Google Suite.
* Educational Environment Experience: Experience in a post-16 educational setting is desirable.
