About the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Climate Action events team and contribute to the company's exciting growth and success by planning and executing marketing activities.
We are looking for a commercially astute and tenacious Senior Marketing Manager who can demonstrate a proven track record in marketing B2B conferences and events, ideally with direct experience in marketing automation and digital marketing. You will have a confident approach to working in a fast-paced environment and a passion for marketing. A deep understanding of climate change policy and sustainability is advantageous.
We seek an individual with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including significant experience in a senior B2B event marketing role within a commercial conference or exhibition company. This experience should include managing a team of marketers and developing, managing, and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns.
The role requires:
1. Comprehensive (360) event marketing capabilities
2. Digital Campaign Management: Setting up and managing digital paid campaigns
3. Email Marketing: Executing email marketing strategies, including copywriting
4. Lead and Demand Generation: Driving lead and demand initiatives
5. Marketing Automation: Implementing and managing marketing automations and workflows
6. Social Media Strategy: Developing and managing social media strategies
7. Database Management: Managing marketing databases
8. Performance Reporting: Producing analytical reports on marketing performance
9. Content Creation: Developing marketing content, including copywriting and creative briefs
10. PR Strategy: Devising and overseeing internal and external PR strategies
11. Team Development: Supporting and developing junior marketing team members through training and KPIs
The ideal candidate will possess:
* At least 5 years specifically in a B2B Event Marketing role within a conference or exhibition company
* A passion for sustainability and environmental issues
* Strong digital marketing skills and understanding of commercial content marketing
* Creativity in maximizing small marketing budgets
* Knowledge of social media channels (particularly X and LinkedIn) and strategies
* Practical knowledge of digital tools such as TweetDeck, Google Analytics, Adwords
* Experience with marketing automation and a desire to demonstrate commercial results
* An agile approach to reviewing results and adjusting plans accordingly
* Excellent project, time, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
* Enthusiasm and a proactive work ethic
* Confident communication and influencing skills, especially on the telephone for securing agreements with global partners
