Job Details
Provide services to set‑up and maintain homeless temporary accommodation, mainly in void accommodation and occasionally in allocated accommodation.
Arrange and monitor specific jobs with Building Services and external contractors to enable homeless people to receive a good standard of temporary accommodation.
Carry out bookings and inspections for homeless customers across Fife and council temporary accommodation properties.
Complete regular welfare contacts with customers. These include face‑to‑face weekly contacts, telephone calls, emails and text messages.
Provide a void turnaround service for homeless temporary accommodation across Fife to a range of Council and partner properties as required.
Location: Based at Brunton House, Cowdenbeath. Works across South West Fife, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Glenrothes, Levenmouth and North East Fife.
Contract Type: Temporary until 27 February 2027.
Salary: FC6 £31,761.26 – £34,914.86 (pro‑rata).
Working Pattern: 18 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

* Educated to SCQF level 5,which includes National 5 or SVQ level 2 or Standard Grades at Credit level or equivalent.
* Ability to provide a regular and effective service.
* Team working skills.
* Experience in providing a high‑quality service to a cross‑section of council and partners staff.
* Communication skillsboth verbal and written.
* Abilityto travel throughout Fife to carry out property inspections.
* Organisational skills.
* IT skills.
* Knowledge and understanding ofhousing andhomeless legislationand the discrimination which affects homeless people.
* An understanding of equality and diversity.
* Ability to work within a lone working environmentand use own initiative.
* Demonstrate professional boundaries and maintain confidentially.
* Committed to the service and it’s development.

Additional Information
We offer the opportunity to work in this role as a “blended working” arrangement with home‑working opportunities and occasional office‑working as required. While the significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
