Lead Pupils Through Their Final Year of Primary Education
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Orpington, starting as soon as possible. This role offers the opportunity to teach pupils during a pivotal year of their education, supporting both academic achievement and personal development as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across the curriculum, with a particular focus on preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments. Your Role
In this role, you will plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons that challenge pupils while supporting a wide range of learning needs. You will help pupils develop effective study habits, resilience, and independence, ensuring they are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
You will work closely with teaching assistants and senior leaders to provide targeted interventions and ensure all pupils make strong progress.

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
* A qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experienced teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
* Confident with assessment, data, and curriculum planning
* Calm, organised, and resilient
* Strong in behaviour management and pupil motivation
* Committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
* Willing to contribute positively to the wider school community
