We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be able to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to fabricate and assemble components efficiently. As a MIG Welder, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and precision of our clients products. Working Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm & Friday, 7am to 1pm Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal, to create high-quality components. Utilise stick welding techniques as required for specific projects. Fabricate parts according to engineering specifications and drawings. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. Qualifications Proven experience as a MIG Welder within the manufacturing or construction industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding tasks. Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in a welding environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
