Role Overview:
The role is a senior professional role, providing leadership and technical expertise to ensure the delivery of client work scopes to an agreed service standard. It will require a broad understanding of related areas of the business and accountable for delivering against financial and service targets and technical work scopes. Work will require the application of specialist technical knowledge across related areas, providing leadership and guidance and a cohesive approach to project delivery. The role will work within established systems and processes but will be adaptable and creative in the application of work and interpretation of problems, providing innovative solutions. The role will be required to work closely with clients building and maintaining excellent business relations. The role will typically work in a collaborative environment but will lead project team/s as required.

Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Lead Project Engineer are:
* Onshore Project Engineering
* Offshore Project Engineering
* Mentoring the team and developing engineers
* Tender & Proposal support
* Project Management support
* Business Development support
* Full autonomy of time and task management
* Delegation of authority for Project Engineering Manager (annual leave etc)
* Compile and present CTRs and manpower plans for approval in line with delegation responsibilities
* Perform technical audits and design reviews
* Subcontractor control and liaison
* Develop, review and/or approve engineering documents and data
* Management of resources assigned (project or work specific)
* Supervise assigned personnel (Project Engineering sub teams and project specific work teams)
* Acting Project Manager / Focal Point (assigned project or work specific jobs)
* Cultivate and develop client relationships – business development
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience in a similar role
* Experience of managing projects and managing personnel/project team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Acquainted in Legislation and Standards as relevant for the area of responsibility
* General knowledge of full project cycle from Concept/FEED to execution for both construction and decommissioning
* Technically proficient/skilled within their discipline and familiar with technical software within their field
* Engineering execution and procedure development experience
* Experience in Oil and Gas projects, and/or equivalent experience within offshore renewables or similar marine disciplines is desirable
* Experience offshore
