In this role, you’ll combine hands-on involvement with day-to-day production and frontline leadership of your team to ensure targets are hit and quality is never compromised. This is the ideal opportunity for a proactive, people-focused leader with a strong manufacturing background who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What You’ll Be Responsible For: Providing direction, motivation, and support to your production team to deliver against KPIs for safety, quality, output, and cost Actively working within the production area while balancing leadership responsibilities Conducting team briefings at the start of each shift—highlighting priorities, sharing KPI performance, and resolving issues Ensuring your team is production-ready at the start of shift, including pre-start checks and addressing any staffing or equipment issues promptly Planning and organising labour resources to deliver the production schedule effectively Working cross-functionally with management, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and drive improvements Upholding health & safety and quality standards in line with company policies Identifying issues affecting equipment or performance and taking ownership for implementing corrective actions What You’ll Already Have: Essential: A proven track record in a similar supervisory or team leader role in a manufacturing environment Strong people leadership skills and the ability to manage performance and development In-depth knowledge of health & safety and quality systems Results-driven mindset with strong planning and organisational skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with IT literacy (Microsoft Office and production systems) The confidence to lead from the front, take responsibility, and influence positive change Working with automated control systems and understanding their role in production Managing batch manufacturing processes with a focus on consistency and efficiency Applying knowledge of chemical processes to ensure safe and effective production Experience working in casting or ceramics environments (highly beneficial) Desirable: Previous experience in ceramics manufacturing Familiarity with ERP systems and data-driven production environments IOSH Managing Safely qualification Experience with Lean tools and continuous improvement practices How You Work Matters – Our Blueprint Behaviours Think Big, Learn Fast You bring ambition and a growth mindset to every shift You adapt quickly and make improvements with confidence Work It Together You collaborate to get the best outcomes across shifts and departments You lead with accountability while enabling others to thrive Make the Hard Call You make pragmatic, timely decisions—even without all the information You balance focus, empathy, and business priorities Our Core Competencies We look for people who: Cultivate Innovation – Always remain curious Actively Learn – Grow your own capability and help others do the same Collaborate – Use your network and teamwork to drive success Plan and Align – Make work relevant, focused, and purposeful Why Work With Us?
