What is a Cover Supervisor?
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in keeping the school day running smoothly when teachers are absent. With lesson materials already prepared, your focus will be on maintaining a positive classroom environment, ensuring students remain engaged and productive.
Key Duties Will Include:
Supervising classes across a variety of subjects (Key Stage 3 & 4)
Ensuring students stay on task and complete the work provided
Managing behaviour in line with school policies
Communicating any issues or concerns to senior staff
Supporting wider school routines such as break duties and hallway supervision
Being a positive and consistent role model in school life
Who We're Looking For:
Experience working with young people (in any setting: youth work, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
Confident classroom presence and good behaviour management skills
Adaptable and calm under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
A genuine interest in education and student development
