It is suitable for people who are ready to engage with a rehab-oriented approach. The service offers an holistic approach, often including pacing, sleep, mood, pain management, dysautonomia management and vocational (work/employment-related) help. The team consists of a range of therapists (physio, occupational therapists, dietitians, therapy instructors, psychological therapists), with a limited amount of direct medical input. The team are supported by medical specialists from Cardiology, Respiratory and Rehabilitation Medicine for discussion and advice when needed. You must be able to demonstrate that you have the ability and flexibility to work within an evolving service which is ever changing to meet the rehabilitation needs of the people of Leeds. We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable, an individual who is a good team player. You should also have good communication skills both verbal and written. You should enjoy helping people and be able to complete tasks with good attention to detail. You will be required to see patients face to face in various clinics across the city as well as undertaking home visits. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. You will play in a key role in facilitating the service’s virtual group consultations and courses and for this reason excellent IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Teams. You are strongly encouraged to contact the service before submitting your application. Please review the Job Description and Person Specification attached for full Requirements of the Rols.
