Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Pay: £17.17 Umbrella / £13.50 PAYE

We’re looking for a Facilities Technician to join a leading rail company based in Southampton.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and operational depot environment, supporting the teams that keep rail services running smoothly across the UK.
Your Responsibilities
As a Facilities Technician, you’ll be responsible for:
Performing heavy-duty cleaning in a live rail depot
Cleaning pits, sheds, and depot interiors to meet safety and operational standards
Removing oil, grease, and industrial residues from equipment and train underframes
Supporting general housekeeping and depot cleanliness
Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
Promoting and adhering to safe working practices across the site
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards
- Physically capable of manual, active work
- Experienced in cleaning, industrial, or manual labour (preferred but not essential)
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
Ideal backgrounds include:
Heavy industrial, factory, or depot cleaning
Plant, workshop, or engineering environments
Manual roles where teamwork and safety are key
A full safety induction will be provided. All applicants must pass a rail medical and drug & alcohol screening before starting.
