We’re seeking a strategic Senior Paid Search Manager to lead a team managing high-profile accounts across entertainment (gaming), travel, and retail sectors.
This role involves more than performance delivery; it requires guiding a team of specialists, developing effective strategies, and ensuring innovative, top-tier work for clients. You will play a key role in advancing automation, digital maturity, and building strong client and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Work and Innovation
* Develop and drive advanced paid search strategies for selected accounts.
* Lead innovation from idea inception to delivery within the team.
* Create and execute testing roadmaps focusing on search and digital maturity.
* Present analyses, updates, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders confidently.
* Maintain high attention to detail and ensure best practices are followed by junior team members.
* Ensure growth and testing roadmaps are in place for all clients.
* Deliver award-winning work within your portfolio.
* Coordinate with wider teams to deliver integrated cross-channel campaigns.
* Build and maintain relationships with media owners and platform providers.
* Stay updated on industry trends, product releases, and new technologies.
* Lead by example, supporting continuous team improvement.
* Set objectives and support the development of direct reports and junior staff.
* Ensure actionable PDPs with SMART objectives for all team members.
* Conduct weekly 1-2-1s and follow up via email as needed.
* Collaborate with leadership to plan team training and development.
Operations & Commercial
* Ensure the delivery of best-in-class work and identify performance improvements.
* Implement processes to enhance quality, accuracy, and automation.
* Support initiatives to promote Search Excellence and Digital Maturity.
* Contribute to team growth targets.
Experience
* Experience managing paid search accounts with budgets over £500k, as a senior manager or director.
* Proven track record of delivering performance through analysis, testing, and execution that benefits clients.
* Expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and SA360 platforms, including bidding strategies and custom variables.
* Experience with large retail accounts, feeds, tactics, and vertical-specific strategies.
* Advanced automation and feed-based solutions experience.
* Understanding of industry best practices and Google-specific practices.
* Knowledge of measurement, privacy features, and attribution in Google Ads, GA, and SA360.
* Passion for innovation and award-winning work through strategic planning and buying.
* Leadership experience in managing small teams.
* Experience with Amazon Sponsored Products, Retail Media, and Adobe Analytics.
