Honeycomb Houses is a family-run institution born-and-bred from our parent company, Brakspear, which came to life all the way back in 1779. Our philosophy is simple, we treat colleagues like family, guests as friends and pubs like homes. We are looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to join our friendly and talented team at the Kings Head.
This is an exciting new opportunity to join the Kings Head as we undergo a refurbishment and relaunch. The Kings Head is a 66-bedroom boutique Inn located in the heart of Cirencester. Set within a stunning 14th-century building, this stylish Inn effortlessly blends historic character with contemporary comfort. From original stone walls and vaulted cellars to chic modern furnishings, every corner tells a story of timeless elegance.
The on-site restaurant serves seasonal British cuisine, while the bar and lounge provide a relaxed atmosphere for drinks, afternoon tea, or casual dining. The Kings Head Hotel is also a sought-after venue for weddings, meetings, and special occasions.
Job Role Description:
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our friendly team. With a fantastic development program and internal progression opportunities, Honeycomb Houses offers a great platform for you to build your hospitality career.
To be a successful Restaurant Manager you will display excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in coaching and engaging the team, to get the best from all employees. You will have a hands-on management style and always put the guest first, leading service excellence at all times.
As the Restaurant Manager you will head up the team in our main restaurant, two private dining rooms and new brasserie which will be launched later in the year.

We are looking for an experienced restaurant manager with a passion for food, wine and service who will inspire, develop and drive standards within the team.

Guest service and creating a fantastic experience is what gets you up in the morning and you are also confident in dealing with any guests issues quickly resulting in the guest leaving happier than when they arrived.
Keep It Simple - You are able to prioritise tasks and delegate to others when required, leading busy shifts with ease by communicating clearly and taking control.
Make It Fun - You can demonstrate a good level of self motivation, organisational and leadership skills, setting a great example for the wider team, you lead from the front and are able to train junior team members, pumping energy into the shift.
Do the Right Thing - You feel empowered to make a good decision, think on your feet and problem solve, allowing you to resolve any issues across all departments of the business when necessary and always strive to make things better. Be able to enjoy yourself and get along fantastically with fellow members of our workplace family!
