Our client, a world leading global electrical power equipments manufacturer, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for mechanical design and engineering support related to power transformer and associated structures. The role includes reviewing mechanical specifications, preparing mechanical drawings, and supporting engineering activities during project execution.
[Key Responsibilities]
• Review customer mechanical specifications and project requirements
• Prepare and modify structural drawings such as GA drawings and structural detail drawings for design approval.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards (IEC, EN, Eurocode) and project requirements
• Support structural calculations and coordinate with global engineering teams
• Address structural design issues during project execution and installation phases
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and EPC contractors when required
• Provide engineering support during transportation and site installation when structural issues arise
• Ensure that results and deliverables are delivered to customers on time.
• Participate in the investigation of technical issues on-site and contribute to the establishment of procedures and corrective actions.
• Complete tasks assigned by your leader in a timely manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical standards
[Requirements]
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design related to heavy electrical equipment or industrial structures
• Knowledge of structural design principles including load analysis and structural integrity
• Experience using 2D and 3D drawing tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or similar software
• Familiarity with international standards such as Eurocode or IEC and British standard for structure and safety
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and process problems
• Ability to work independently to complete assignments in a timely manner
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Strong team player with the ability to work in a worldwide, multicultural technical team

• Job location: New Malden (1min from New Malden railway station)
• Working hours: 8am~5pm (including 1 hour lunch break)
• Basic salary: 55~70K
