The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team, working with industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and enhance customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfillment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts and other partners. Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, OTIF, and handling daily queries.
2. Working with a northern UK account base.
3. Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, including proactive development of new business.
4. Collaborating with the Category Manager to forecast and control inventory for Running categories.
5. Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' events and expos.
6. Working with brand coaches to deliver product training and promotional activities, supporting retailers with technical content.
7. Managing and developing the Running customer orderbook to ensure timely fulfillment.
8. Maintaining the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers with accurate contacts and engagement dates.
9. Creating multimedia sell-in tools for the Running categories and maintaining up-to-date product information on the website.
10. Handling general sales inquiries and working with the fulfillment team to ensure prompt order delivery.
11. Performing other duties as delegated by the Category Manager or Sales and Marketing Director.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, especially running. The role is primarily field-based with frequent travel to our Southampton office. We offer flexible working hours, with core hours defined, depending on role requirements. The candidate should be able to identify customer needs and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to support customer success.
