We are hiring an Analytics Engineer to join our Data Monetisation team. This is a key role responsible for building scalable, privacy-safe data products that drive commercial value from complex data assets.
We are looking for candidates with experience working on externally facing data products working with API's, Data Privacy solutions ie Data Clean Rooms, PII Handling, and technically skilled in Python, SQL and GCP (preferable).
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and data warehousing solutions, ensuring data lineage and accessibility.
* Implement code that adheres to the data governance and coding standards set by the Senior and Lead engineers.
* Create impactful and valuable customer insights and segments using analytical and modelling techniques on the rich range of datasets held across VMO2.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand data availability, troubleshoot data quality issues and ensure the reliability of our data products.
* Participate in agile ceremonies and take ownership of assigned tasks to ensure on time delivery.
* Write clean, maintainable and efficient code (Python/SQL).
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Python and SQL
* Previous experience as a Data Engineer, building data pipelines and performing data analysis.
* Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools (Gitlab)
* Working knowledge of Google Cloud service, specifically BigQuery, Cloud Run and DBT Cloud.
* Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence.
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and data challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
* A passion for continuous improvement.
* Some experience in machine learning (BigQueryML), MLOps or Gen AI applications.
* Ability to foster a positive and engaging team culture.
* Experience working with big data.
