Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for commercial inquiries, providing expert technical guidance and tailored product recommendations.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, including preparing commercial offers, communicating lead times, and coordinating deliveries.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through direct sales activities, with the support of a centralised marketing and operations team.
* Adopt a consultative, challenger-based sales approach to understand customer needs, identify pain points, and propose innovative, value-driven solutions.
* Proactively plan and execute commercial activities, including client meetings and market analysis.
* Negotiate and close sales agreements, including pricing, terms, and delivery conditions.
* Accurately maintain customer records and sales data.
* Represent at industry trade shows and events, both as a visitor and exhibitor.
* Provide responsive after-sales support, resolving product-related issues or claims.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to develop custom fastening solutions, particularly for automotive clients.
* Support the sales cycle through on-site technical product demonstrations at customer facilities.
* Monitor and manage customer orders through the entire lifecycle-from placement to payment.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
* 3–5 years of proven sales or account management experience within the fasteners or industrial components sector.
* Demonstrated success negotiating with central purchasing departments and procurement groups.
* Based in Birmingham region.
* Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays as required.
* Proficient in English and/or Spanish (minimum upper-intermediate level).
