Your role
Mind the Kerb (a branch of Hedin Automotive BMW & MINI) is seeking an Alloy Wheel Repair Technician to join our busy and experienced refurbishment team. Our state-of-the-art facility offers a great opportunity for a detailed and driven individual to develop a career in this exciting specialist enterprise. As an Alloy Wheel Repair Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out alloy wheel repairs to the highest standards, including repairs to all makes and models of alloy wheels with various finishes. Damage types include scratches, scuffs, and dents. You will prioritize tasks according to business needs and use cutting-edge equipment and techniques, ensuring work is completed to an exceptional standard.
The main duties include:
1. Repairing scratches, scuffs, and dents on alloy wheels of all makes, models, and styles.
2. Spray painting and powder-coating alloy wheels.
3. Refurbishing alloy wheels through aqua blasting, sand blasting, chemical paint stripping, labelling, and alloy identification.
4. Working to high standards within agreed workshop timeframes.
Basic Salary: £27,500, OTE: £35,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.
Your profile
* Experience as a SMART/Alloy Repair Technician or in a similar bodyshop environment working on vehicle repairs and restorations, with powder-coating and diamond-cut alloy repair experience.
* Enjoys exceeding customer expectations and maintaining high standards.
* Possesses physical and manual dexterity for detailed repair work.
* Holds a valid, clean UK driving license and is eligible to work in the UK.
