This post may also be offered as a Band 7 trainee position and the end date will be approximately 31 August 2028 dependant on length of programme. The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to support, teach, develop and educate others and possess good leadership skills. They should be able to work autonomously and work as part of a strong multidisciplinary team in order to maintain and deliver a high quality of care.
The post holder will work alongside the medical and nursing teams, predominately in our Clinical Decision Unit, providing urgent care for patients experiencing side effects from their cancer or cancer treatments. You will also provide clinical leadership on our inpatient wards both in and out of hours, inclusive of delivering the 24 Hour Hotline Triage Service.
Therefore the post holder should have significant leadership and management experience and have experience providing specialist education and training to staff. You should be able to evidence autonomous practice with advanced clinical decision making. The post holder will be part of a 24/7 day service working long days and nights, weekend and inclusive of bank holidays.
