Navitas Solar Installations Ltd is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Site Supervisor/Site Manager to oversee the electrical aspects of solar PV installation projects across residential and commercial sites. You will be responsible for supervising electrical teams, ensuring compliance with wiring regulations, managing site safety, and delivering high-quality installations on time and within budget. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician with leadership skills and a passion for renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate electrical installation teams on-site
* Ensure all electrical work complies with BS th Edition) and relevant regulations
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce PPE use
* Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors regarding electrical works
* Oversee AC and DC wiring, inverter connections, and system commissioning
* Perform electrical testing, fault finding, and ensure accurate documentation
* Maintain site records, including electrical certificates and risk assessments
* Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly used
* Mentor and support junior electricians and apprentices
Safety & Compliance:
* Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture
* Conduct and document daily site inspections
* Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety, Working at Height, and Manual Handling standards
* Manage site-specific RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
* Report incidents and near-misses promptly and accurately
Requirements:
* Qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
* 2391 Inspection & Testing (preferred)
* Proven experience supervising electrical teams in solar PV or similar sectors
* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site management
* CSCS or ECS card (essential); SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence
