Job Overview
The Clinical Fellow (ST3+/SpR Level) rotates to a particular Consultant or Consultants within the Department on a 6 month rotation. The majority of commitments are at Southmead or the Bristol Children's Hospital.
This is a very busy department. The successful candidate will be exposed to trauma as well as elective plastic surgery procedures. The department deals with hand and lower limb trauma as well as facial soft injury tissues. We are the Paediatric Burns Centre and Regional Burns Unit for the South West. The Cleft Lip and Palate unit is located at the Bristol Children's Hospital. There is a busy Skin Cancer, Sarcoma and Breast Reconstructive service within the department.
Responsibilities
* Ward, out‑patient and theatre duties.
* Take part in the on‑call rota as part of the team. Cover one or the other site on a 1 in 11 rota based on a 24 hour shift.
