Mechanic – Motorsport Experience Fleet
Knockhill Racing Circuit | Permanent | Full-Time
Join the team at Knockhill Racing Circuit — Scotland's National Motorsport Centre, established for over 50 years and home to some of the UK's most exciting motorsport events, trackdays and driving experiences.
This is not your average workshop role.
You'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of high-performance experience vehicles driven by members of the public, including:
* Fiesta Rally Cars
* Single-Seater Racing Cars
* Alpine A110s
* Teen Drive Kia Picantos
From daily safety inspections and preventative maintenance to fast-turnaround running repairs, your work will directly support live motorsport activity.
Unlike a standard road-car garage, these vehicles are pushed to their limits on circuit and rally stages. That means the mechanical challenges are more varied, more demanding, and far more rewarding for someone with a passion for performance and motorsport.
You'll also support the maintenance of our wider site fleet, including vans and emergency vehicles.
Our workshop is fully equipped with three vehicle ramps and a busy, team-focused environment.
About You
We're looking for a skilled, practical mechanic who:
* Can plan and prioritise tasks in a fast-moving environment
* Thinks on their feet and responds calmly under pressure
* Isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
* Has solid mechanical experience (motorsport experience is desirable but not essential)
If you've worked on track cars, rally cars or performance vehicles — fantastic.
If not, but you're mechanically strong and eager to learn, we'd still love to hear from you.
Working Pattern
* Permanent, full-time position
* Five-day working week (includes weekend work due to the nature of motorsport events)
* Based at Knockhill Racing Circuit, just outside Dunfermline
* A full UK driving licence and your own transport are essential (no public transport links)
Why Join Knockhill?
* Work on performance and competition-prepared vehicles
* Be part of Scotland's premier motorsport venue
* Every day is different
* A rare opportunity to combine mechanical skill with motorsport passion
