Personal Assistant – Wadebridge
Personal Assistant required for a happy teenage boy who lives in Wadebridge.
He has Autism and would like someone who he can build a positive relationship with and provide 1:1 support.
He is interested in military, history and enjoys Lego.
Supporting the boy in gaining independence and life skills while enabling him to enjoy activities in his local community, such as walks on the beach, in the woods and visits to museums.
Hours & Pay
Up to 7 hours per week (flexible). Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour, increasing after an initial period of three months.
Requirements
* Car driver with access to own vehicle.
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and will not carry out work for Cornwall Council.
