Due to a structure review we are recruiting to 1.0 WTE. The successful candidate will join the Learning Disabilities Team within Hounslow Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service.
You will be based in the Learning Disabilities Team (LDT) in Hounslow CAMHS. The LDT sits alongside Tier 3 neurodevelopmental, specialist adolescent and child/family teams, and works in close collaboration with Community CAMHS services. The LDT is multi-disciplinary and includes professionals from psychiatry, nursing, and psychology. You will become part of a team of clinicians with a special interest and expertise in working with young people with a learning disability.
The post holder will use specialist and highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention skills with young people and their families/carers presenting with mental health difficulties. You will also be responsible for line management and supervision of any trainee or assistant psychologists within the team and support further service development when appropriate.
This role would suit a clinical psychologist with some experience of working with children with learning disabilities. You may also be a newly qualified psychologist looking to start your work in this area. You will be passionate about delivering a high quality psychology service to young people with learning disabilities. Regular clinical supervision will be provided.

Responsibilities

Qualifications/Experience
* Clinical psychologist with experience working with children who have learning disabilities, or a newly qualified psychologist seeking to specialise in this area.
* Commitment to delivering high quality psychology services and to ongoing professional development.
* Willingness to participate in CPD and service-wide training opportunities.

* Hounslow LDT works closely with Community CAMHS and other teams; the post holder will be part of a growing multidisciplinary team.
* There are opportunities to develop further in role, including participation in quality improvement projects and leading areas of interest.
