Position Description:

At CGI, we’re passionate about creating digital experiences that make a real difference. As a Content Designer, you will play a key role in transforming complex information into clear, accessible and engaging content that meets the needs of diverse users. By shaping services in line with the Digital Scotland Service Standard, you’ll help deliver intuitive solutions that improve outcomes for citizens and clients. Working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll bring creativity, precision and user-focus to every stage of the design process — with the freedom to take ownership, innovate, and be supported in your professional growth.
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position with some travel to offices/clients in Scotland as required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

In this role, you will design, refine and deliver content that makes services simpler and easier for people to use. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders and user-centred design colleagues to ensure content is accurate, accessible and tested with real users. Your work will have a direct impact on the effectiveness of digital services, helping clients achieve their goals while delivering meaningful improvements for citizens.
You’ll be part of an Agile, multidisciplinary team where you’ll own your work, contribute creative ideas, and be supported to continuously improve. You’ll use evidence and user research to refine content, ensuring it not only meets standards but also provides an exceptional experience.
Key responsibilities:
•Draft & design content that is clear, accessible, and aligned with user needs
•Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to validate and maintain content
•Ensure content fully aligns with the Digital Scotland Service Standard and accessibility guidelines
