We are working with a leading legal team in Leeds to recruit a permanent, full-time Criminal Law Paralegal to join their expanding Crime Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will preferably:
1. Be embarking on, or have completed, the LPC or BPTC, ideally with the criminal law elective;
2. Demonstrate a genuine interest in criminal law;
3. Possess strong organisational skills;
4. Be able to work effectively under pressure.
Key responsibilities will include:
5. Providing the highest level of client care in managing client matters;
6. Supporting Fee Earners with case preparation;
7. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties;
8. Managing files effectively, including creating letters and documents on the case management system;
9. Completing public funding applications;
10. Collating and redacting documents for Court bundles as required;
11. Liaising with local authorities, police, medical professionals, courts, and experts.
