Job Title: Customer Logistics Coordinator

About the Company
We are recruiting for a Customer Logistics Coordinator on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Basildon, Essex. The company operates within the Aerospace and Securities Sectors and is known for delivering high-quality products while maintaining strong customer relationships.
The Role
As a Customer Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the movement of goods and materials across internal departments to support efficient production and ensure customer delivery targets are met. This role is based on-site in Basildon and requires close collaboration with operations, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Expediting and tracking customer jobs through production to achieve on time delivery targets.
• Keeping Line of Balances and trackers updated on progress of production jobs.
• Overall responsibility for customers in the factory, from pre-launch to shipment.
• Supporting daily and weekly production meetings.
• Daily communication with leaders across operations and manufacturing to ensure adherence to schedule.
• Supporting Program Managers by providing relevant production progress information to customers.
• Supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives where required.
• Monitoring accuracy of labelling and packaging processes to ensure correct parts and finished assemblies reach the correct customers at the correct time.
• Ensuring required paperwork is completed and available to support deliveries, coordinating between sites where appropriate.
• Supporting customer and commercial meetings.
• Reporting on key customer metrics, including action plans for improvement and timely escalation where necessary.
• Data maintenance of all associated sales order lines on the Factory Master ERP system.
Qualifications & Experience
• Operations administration or customer service experience within a manufacturing environment.
