Equans is looking for a Highway Road Worker to join our team in our North East Lincolnshire Partnership in Grimsby on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary between £24,000 - £28,000, depending on experience, and benefits package.
The individual will be part of a team responsible for highway maintenance to ensure safety for all users, focusing on safety, serviceability, and sustainability.
Please note applicants should hold a Category C driving license.
What will you deliver?
* Erection and removal of traffic management in accordance with safety codes.
* Driving highway vehicles and tippers, subject to license, training, and competency.
* Operation of powered plant and equipment, such as compaction equipment, masonry cutters, and rollers, subject to license and training.
* Mixing, laying, and compaction of materials like bituminous, mortars, cements, and concretes.
* Erection, fixing, cleaning, and dismantling of highway street furniture.
* Reconstruction of inspection chambers, catchpits, and road gullies.
* Accurate record-keeping including timesheets and vehicle inspections.
* Compliance with Equans SHEQ standards and policies.

Who are we looking for?
* Competency in construction activities preferred; training provided.
* Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions and maintain accurate records.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Commitment to professional development.
* Flexibility for out-of-hours work.
* Adaptability to change.
* Hold a Category C driving license, Driver CPC, and experience with highway tipper vehicles.
* Preferably hold City and Guilds Streetworks Operative Accreditation or be trained in Chapter 8 Traffic Signing and Guarding.
