Accounts Assistant - West London | £30,000-£35,000 Benefits We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the Head of Accounts in maintaining accurate and timely financial records for our property management schemes. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your career within the real estate sector. What You'll Do Perform day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy. Process cheques, save scanned cheques, and handle cheque deposits. Manage credit control, including issuing credit notes and recharges (e.g., utilities, insurance). Generate monthly rental demands and quarterly rent/service charge demands. Update client statements and receipts, ensuring records are maintained correctly. Prepare portfolio reports and assist with corporate accounting up to trial balance. Review expenditure coding to align with budgets. Carry out bank reconciliations and ad hoc accounting tasks. Respond to queries promptly and professionally via phone and email. What You'll Bring Previous experience in a similar accounts role within real estate or property management. Strong understanding of service charge accounting. Good working knowledge of accounting software (Qube experience desirable). Competent Excel skills for reporting and data analysis. Clear and confident communication skills to work with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Organised, hardworking, and able to manage workloads independently with support from management.
