Your new roleThe Finance Director will lead financial strategy,ernance and operational finance. A key part of the role includes strengthening financial controls, improving reporting and supporting long-term planning.The position may also include preparing the business for a potential future equity exit, ensuring financial readiness, due-diligence preparation and providing strongmercial insight to senior leadership.You will work closely with the leadership team to deliver accurate reporting, robust financial planning and effective decision-support within a dynamic SME environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end and financial reporting.
2. Produce accurate management accounts and statutory reporting.
3. Provide financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
4. Partner with operations to understand costs, margins and performance.
5. Strengthen processes, controls and financial systems.
6. Supportpliance, audit and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
8. Senior finance experience in an SME manufacturing setting.
9. Strong technical capability across reporting, forecasting and analysis.
10. Excellentmunication and stakeholder-management skills.
11. High attention to detail andmercial awareness.
12. Experience supporting an equity exit or similar transaction (highly desirable).
