Salary: £37,000 basic + OTE £40,000+
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with winter Saturday rota
The Role
Driver Hire Winchester is looking for a professional and customer-focused Class 2 ADR Driver to join on of our clients in the Fuel Industry. You’ll be responsible for delivering fuel safely and efficiently to residential, agricultural, and commercial customers while representing the company’s high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate company vehicles in line with all current legislation and company policies
2. Ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and legal compliance
3. Load and discharge fuel safely, following company procedures
4. Load from fuel terminals, including taking terminal and site samples where required
5. Obtain customer signatures prior to delivery
6. Report any accidents, incidents, or unsafe delivery sites promptly
7. Work effectively within a 7-day shift pattern during peak periods
8. Adapt to difficult delivery conditions with a safety-first approach
Essential:
9. HGV Class C (Class 2) driving licence
10. ADR Licence (Class 3 & Tanks)
11. Driver CPC (Driver Qualification Card)
12. Digital Tachograph Card
13. Strong communication and customer service skills
14. Commitment to health & safety and company values
15. Willingness to work increased hours during peak season
16. Flexibility to work from nearby depots on an ad hoc basis
Desirable (Not Essential – Full Training Provided):
17. Clean driving licence (maximum 6 points accepted)
18. Experience in fuel delivery or handling hazardous liquid products
19. Experience loading from fuel terminals
Hours & Overtime:
20. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
21. Winter Saturday working rota
22. Overtime available and expected during peak periods (especially winter)
